In its more than five decades of existence, the ACLU-WV has become widely recognized as the state’s foremost advocate of individual rights.

Mountain State Justice provides aggressive legal advocacy on behalf of low-income West Virginians to ensure access to the civil justice system for the vindication and protection of their rights.

Legal Aid of WV is a statewide nonprofit organization providing free legal services and advocacy. Their mission is to ensure dignity and equal justice is available to all West Virginians, not just those who can afford it.

WVSLA provides free civil legal services for senior West Virginians age 60 and over

Appalachian Mountain Advocates is a non-profit law and policy center dedicated to fighting for clean water and a clean energy future.

The West Virginia University College of Law Public Interest Advocates exists to sponsor summer fellowships and other opportunities for WVU law students in the public interest field and to promote interest in public interest lawyering.
